Hi, my name is Shelby!

 

I help high-functioning individuals go from burnout to boundaries — get clear on what’s right for you & follow through.

MY STORY:

 

Where I started ...

I was a dance artist looking for stability. Hopping around jobs that allowed me to just barely afford living in Philadelphia. I was working in the service industry; hostessing at a diner & managing estheticians at a spa. I was also trying to make a relationship work that was falling apart.

 

What wasn’t working ...

 

The service based jobs paid my bills, but I wasn't truly living my dream as a dance artist. I was managing everything at work & at home for everyone else all while depleting myself — I was completely drained & depressed. Sleeping & taking time off didn’t fix the problem.

 

What I realized ...

I kept ending up back in the same burnout cycle. I was choosing to pick up extra shifts to avoid being at home, but mostly to afford rent & food when dance gigs were far apart. I was avoiding decisions — I was going nowhere.

 

What changed ...

 

During covid, everything changed. The diner & the spa closed. I went back to my roots, which was movement. I began training in Meditation, Pilates, Reiki & Sound. Upon reflection, I noticed how my thought patterns kept me stuck. I began setting clear boundaries & regulating my nervous system with breathwork. This helped me to rebuild my self confidence & I started making decisions that actually supported me.

 

The results I created ...

 

I chose myself. I left a relationship, a workplace, & a city that no longer supported my growth. I moved back to St. Louis to be closer to family & changed my career path. I committed to my self care & gained clarity around my purpose. I began creating a life that felt sustainable instead of something that I needed to escape from.

THAT'S HOW THE SHIFT WAS BORN

MY SHIFT JOURNEY

BEFORE THE SHIFT:

• I felt “busy" but I was stuck & not moving forward.

• I needed constant reassurance before making a move.​

 

• I stayed in places / situations that felt off for a very long time.

• I felt resentful after saying yes when I meant no.

 

• I was overthinking decisions for way too long.​​​

• I avoided having uncomfortable / hard conversations.

• I put myself last after prioritizing everyone else first.

• I create a plan to implement the changes I've been thinking about.

• I trust my first instinct about people / places & act on it.​

 

• I live in a city that feels like home, where I'm happy to be every day. 

 

• I say no & set boundaries without over-explaining or feeling guilty.

 

• I feel confident in the decisions I make because I trust myself.​​​

• I have deeper relationships because I'm able to express myself openly.

• I've created a life where I make my self care my priority everyday.
